IT Support Specialist
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Central London
Working Pattern: Five days per week onsiteZachary Daniels is partnering with an established retail business to recruit an IT Support Specialist for its Central London head office.
This is a hands-on role supporting users across the head office and wider retail estate. You will work closely with the IT Manager to provide responsive technical support, maintain hardware and software, manage business devices and ensure colleagues receive a consistently high level of service.
The Role
As IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of support requests received by telephone, email and the internal ticketing system.
You will support users across multiple business locations, resolving technical issues wherever possible and escalating more complex problems to the appropriate internal or external team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing first and second-line technical support to users* Managing support requests through telephone, email and ticketing systems* Troubleshooting issues across PCs, printers, mobile devices and business applications* Preparing, configuring and maintaining hardware and software* Supporting Microsoft environments and Office applications* Managing device inventory and maintaining accurate asset records* Coordinating hardware, software and equipment orders* Completing user onboarding and offboarding activities* Escalating more complex technical issues to the appropriate teams* Supporting colleagues across the head office and wider retail estate* Working closely with the IT Manager to maintain reliable day-to-day IT operationsAbout You
We are looking for a service-focused IT professional who enjoys providing hands-on support in a busy environment.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience in an IT support, service desk or desktop support position* Strong knowledge of PCs, printers, Microsoft environments and Office applications* Experience supporting mobile devices, particularly iPhones* An understanding of user onboarding, offboarding and access management* Experience with device inventory and IT asset management* Exposure to SAP or another ERP platform would be beneficial* Previous experience supporting a retail, multisite or similarly fast-paced business would be advantageous* Strong communication and relationship-building skills* The ability to manage a high volume of requests and work to tight deadlines* A qualification in Computer Science or a related subject, or equivalent practical IT experienceThis is an excellent opportunity to join an established business in a varied, hands-on position where you will support both head office and retail operations.
