Zachary Daniels Recruitment is partnering with a well-established consumer-facing business to recruit an IT Support Engineer for its growing internal technology team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer-focused support professional who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and taking ownership of user issues.
You will become a key point of contact for colleagues across a busy multi-site organisation, providing day-to-day technical support while gaining exposure to wider technology deployments and infrastructure projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the first point of contact for IT queries and service requests
- Logging, prioritising and resolving incidents through the IT service management platform
- Troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices and other business hardware
- Supporting users across Windows, macOS, Android and iOS
- Managing user accounts, password resets and access permissions
- Supporting Active Directory and Google Workspace environments
- Completing onboarding and offboarding activities for employees
- Carrying out basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, IP addressing and physical connectivity
- Supporting the setup and deployment of hardware across different business locations
- Escalating more complex issues with clear and accurate technical information
- Creating straightforward user guides and maintaining support documentation
- Identifying recurring issues and working with the wider IT team to improve service reliability
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a service desk, desktop support or IT support position
- Good knowledge of Windows and macOS environments
- Experience with Active Directory and Google Workspace would be beneficial
- Confidence troubleshooting hardware, software, access and connectivity issues
- A basic understanding of networking, including Wi-Fi, IP addresses and physical connectivity
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A practical, proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
- The ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- Experience supporting users across multiple locations would be advantageous
- A genuine desire to learn and progress within IT operations and infrastructure
The business is continuing to develop its internal technology capability, making this a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build on their support experience and gain broader technical exposure.
If you're looking for a hands-on IT support role with excellent training, exposure and progression opportunities, apply today.
