- Description
Merchandiser (Stores) | British Lifestyle Brand | Real Growth Potential | Hybrid Working 4/1
Location: London - South West
Salary: Competitive + benefits (Up to £60k)
Reporting to: Head of MerchandisingAbout the Role:
We're partnering with one of the UK's best-performing lifestyle brands to find a Merchandiser with a strong store focus to join their team.
This is a business with genuine British heritage and a fiercely loyal customer base, built on a simple promise: good product, at a fair and affordable price. It's growing exponentially across every channel, part of a wider group of brands, and now operates over 100 stores and counting - with no signs of slowing down. Off the back of consistently strong, profitable performance, this is a business investing in its future, not just managing the present.
This role is store-focused at its core, so we're looking for someone who genuinely understands what makes stores work - grading, allocation, and getting the right product to the right store at the right time.
The Role:
As Merchandiser, you'll take ownership of store performance within your category, ensuring stock is allocated and distributed in a way that maximises sales and availability across the estate. Key responsibilities will include:
Managing store grading, ensuring the store base is accurately segmented to reflect trading potential and local customer demand
Owning allocation strategy, ensuring the right product reaches the right stores at the right time, in the right quantities
Building and maintaining sales, stock and intake plans across the store estate
Analysing store-level trade weekly, identifying under- and over-performing locations and recommending clear, commercial action
Partnering with Buying and Retail teams to ensure range and space plans reflect store grading and local demand
Managing markdown and stock transfer strategy to protect availability and margin across the estate
Building strong relationships with Retail Operations and store teams to understand on-the-ground trading dynamics
About You:
Proven experience as a Merchandiser with strong exposure to store grading and allocation, ideally within a multi-store retailer of a similar scale (100+ stores)
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate store-level data into clear, commercially sound decisions
A genuine understanding of how store estates trade differently by location, format and customer base
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a large, varied store base
Confident communicator, able to work closely with Retail teams and represent store performance clearly to the wider business
Strong Excel skills; experience with allocation/planning systems is advantageous
What's On Offer:
The opportunity to join one of the UK's best-performing lifestyle brands, with a loyal customer base and genuine British heritage
A business that's growing exponentially across all channels, part of a wider, ambitious group
Strong, profitable performance and continued investment in the team
The chance to play a key role in a growing estate of 100+ stores and counting
