Merchandiser - Lingerie, Nightwear & Swim
London | Hybrid - 4 days office-based and 1 day WFH
Ready for your next Merchandising challenge? We're working with a hugely successful, fast-paced fashion retailer who are looking for a commercially driven Merchandiser to take ownership of their Lingerie, Nightwear & Swim department.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business going through an exciting period of growth and change, with a strong store estate, ambitious plans and a really supportive, collaborative culture.
You'll have real ownership of your department, working closely with Buying and wider teams to make sure the right product is in the right place, at the right time - and ultimately drive sales, profit and performance.
What will you be doing?
· Taking ownership of the merchandising strategy for your department, driving sales and profit against agreed KPIs
· Reviewing and managing the WSSI, identifying opportunities and risks and taking action quickly
· Analysing weekly trade, sales and stock performance and turning data into clear commercial decisions
· Working hand-in-hand with Buying on range plans, reacting to trends and changing customer demand
· Managing depth, width, intake and availability to maximise sales while minimising markdown risk
· Leading range sign-offs and ensuring product decisions align with the wider brand and commercial strategy
· Managing the weekly product sign-off process, considering OTB, flexibility and margin
· Keeping a close eye on the competition and using market insight to influence your departmental strategy
· Managing critical paths and reacting quickly when the trade throws you a curveball!
· Building strong relationships with Buying, suppliers and key stakeholders across the business
· Leading and developing a small merchandising team, with two direct reports
What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who knows their numbers, loves the commercial side of merchandising and isn't afraid to make a decision!
You'll ideally have:
· Strong experience as a Merchandiser within a fast-paced retail environment
· Excellent WSSI, forecasting, demand planning and stock management skills
· A strong understanding of sales, margin, intake, OTB and profitability
· The ability to analyse data, spot trends and turn insight into action
· Experience owning a department strategy and influencing commercial decisions
· Strong Excel and reporting skills
· Experience managing and developing a small team
· The confidence to work closely with Buying and other senior stakeholders
· A flexible, agile approach and the ability to react quickly to changing trade
Your background doesn't necessarily need to be lingerie, nightwear or swim. We're open to great Merchandisers from fashion, beauty, home and other fast-paced retail environments who have the core commercial merchandising skills.
Why join?
This is a business with real momentum. The store estate is performing exceptionally well, there has been significant investment into the business and there's a renewed energy across the leadership team.
You'll be joining a genuinely supportive and collaborative Buying & Merchandising environment, where teams work closely together and you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact.
And if you're currently a strong Junior Merchandiser ready to make the step up to, they're open to speaking with you too - provided you're ready to take ownership of a large area and hit the ground running!
The details:
· London
· 4 days in the office
· 9am-5.30pm, with a 4pm finish on Fridays - Flexible hours available
· Supportive, collaborative culture
· Own department with a small team to lead
