Job Title: County Manager - Building Products Manufacturer

Location: Ireland (Nationwide)
Salary: Up to €100,000 + Benefits

Our client is a leading building products manufacturer, providing high-quality materials for the construction and building industry. They are renowned for their commitment to innovation and excellence, and are now seeking a County Manager to oversee and drive their business within the Irish market.

Role Overview:

As a County Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of 6 professionals across Ireland, driving sales, and ensuring the successful growth of the company's presence within the builders' merchant sector. Your expertise in selling to builders' merchants will be crucial in expanding the company's market share and fostering lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

You will lead and motivate your team to achieve targets, while overseeing strategic sales operations and implementing business initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader in the building products industry who has a proven track record in sales into builders merchants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of 6 sales professionals across Ireland.

  • Drive the sales strategy and execution within the builders merchants sector.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and decision-makers within the industry.

  • Ensure the team meets sales targets and business goals, tracking performance and implementing necessary adjustments.

  • Provide leadership and training to your team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Develop business plans and strategies to expand the customer base within the territory.

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership and internal teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall company goals.

  • Monitor and analyse market trends and competitor activity, adjusting strategies accordingly to stay ahead of the competition.


Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in selling building products into builders merchants in Ireland.

  • At least 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership or management role, preferably in the construction or building products sector.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in motivating and developing high-performing teams.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

  • A track record of successfully achieving sales targets and driving growth in a competitive market.

  • In-depth knowledge of the building products industry and the Irish construction market.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute effectively to achieve business objectives.

  • Full driving license and flexibility to travel as required across Ireland.
