Supply Chain Director

Supply Chain Director | National Retailer | £180k + benefits

This role can be based at one of their distribution centres but will involve travel to head office and a national network of DCs.

This position will sit as part of the executive leadership team of a national retail business, overseeing the end-to-end supply chain department.

The role is crucial to the business overseeing, planning, shipping, distribution from our DC's UK wide. You will have extensive experience of continuous improvement projects including cost savings with a strategic and forward-thinking commercial mind.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full end to end responsibility of the supply chain function within the business, overseeing both store and e-commerce supply chains.
• Coordinate and facilitate communication and collaboration with head office departments to ensure alignment and efficiency to trading plan requirements
• Achieve industry-leading service KPIs, collaborating with Digital, Retail, and Customer teams to enhance customer experience across all channels.
• Optimising the distribution processes and warehouse network, working in collaboration with external 3PL's and partners.
• Management of contract providers to work as efficiently as possible
• Takes full control of the Operations P&L, including capex proposals and requisitions

Key Skills/Experience:

• Experience working within a fast-paced retail Supply chain Leadership position, holding full responsibility of the end-to-end processes.
• Proficient in warehouse management, including business processes, WMS, and efficiency management through KPIs in an outsourced environment.
• Proficient in contract management, including contract structure, review processes, KPI management, and reporting.
• Experience managing tenders across end-to-end Supply Chain & Logistics (SV&L).
• Strong leadership skills working with teams in multiple offices and distribution centres.
• Commercial and Analytical acumen to utilise and develop both current and future processes.
• Extensive knowledge of optimising and managing warehousing, distribution and shipping processes for a high-volume retailer.
• Fantastic communication skills to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
