About the role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a senior position within the business and will take responsibility for the Financial Accounting within the company. This role is an excellent entry point into the business for either a finalist or qualified accountant in their first years post qualification.
Key responsibilities
- Full ownership of cash position, including reporting this to FD and Directors
- Month and Year end ownership
- Production of Monthly Management Accounts including commentary
- Assisting with the overall running of the finance department
- Working with third party partners and management of pension plan
- Bank reconciliation for UK and Foreign Currency (FOREX) accounts
- Set up and process of electronic transfers
- Production of pre-payments and accruals
- Stakeholder management with different functions including sales team members
- Liaise with and take ownership of audit relationship
- Accounts reconciliation
- Continuous improvement of systems, processes, procedures and spotting opportunities
- Fixed asset register
Person profile
- Finalist or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent)
- Ambitious and career motivated
- High personal integrity, motivation and pride in personal performance
- Excellent personal presentation, communication and character
- Excellent stakeholder management skill
- First class reporting ability, including good knowledge of financial systems.
