Finance Manager (12 month Fixed Term Contract) | Liverpool (Hybrid) | £50,000 - £60,000, plus car allowance, staff discount, pension, 25 days holiday, wellbeing care, plus other benefits | Omni-channel retail

This is a high profile and highly visible Finance Manager role for one of our great, reputable, dynamic large retail clients. Established over 20 years ago this is an established but growing mini-channel retail business going through an exciting period of change and growth.

About the role

The Finance Manager will coach and develop 2 direct reports, working closely with the head of department. The specific area of responsibility will be linked with costs and overheads but there is a wide scope of other responsibilities. This is a fast paced retail environment and the successful candidate will be expected to be able to develop and shape this role in this type of environment, whilst managing a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Analysis of data, managing and challenging key areas of cost
• Business partnering to challenge and improve existing assumptions leading to increased profitability
• Support the team in the production of relevant analysis
• Continuous improvement of processes
• Contribution to Financial Planning
• Understanding external commercial impacts
• Support the team with the production of content for the monthly Management Accounts.
• Coach, mentor and manage a team of 2.

Finance Manager Person profile

• CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Experience gained within an omni-channel retail/consumer background highly desirable
• A strong analytical approach
• Excellent communication skills across all levels with the ability to influence
• Used to adapting and dealing with change
• Deliver to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
