An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Manager to lead a customer-focused fashion retail store. This role is perfect for a commercially driven retail leader who thrives on developing people, creating exceptional customer experiences, and delivering strong commercial performance.

Working with a passionate and engaged team, you'll take ownership of all aspects of the store, balancing sales performance with outstanding service while creating an environment where both customers and colleagues feel valued.

What you'll be doing as Assistant Manager:

• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing retail team, fostering a positive environment centred on customer service and achieving results.

• Take ownership of overall commercial performance by driving sales, productivity and key performance indicators.

• Deliver an exceptional personalised customer experience, ensuring every interaction is engaging, memorable and professional.

• Support team growth through ongoing coaching, regular feedback, training and effective performance management.

• Attract, recruit and onboard new colleagues while building a strong talent pipeline for future development opportunities.

• Set the example by leading from the shop floor, offering hands-on support during peak trading periods and modelling best practice.

• Analyse store performance using reports and commercial data to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

• Maintain consistently high standards across store operations, compliance and visual presentation.

About you:

You'll be an experienced retail manager with a proven ability to lead successful teams within a customer-focused environment. You enjoy coaching others, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and understand how to combine exceptional service with commercial results.

You'll also have:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or equivalent leadership role within retail.

• A strong track record of delivering sales growth and achieving KPIs.

• Excellent leadership and people development skills.

• A positive, hands-on management style with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

• A flexible approach to weekend working.
