Senior Garment Technologist | Womens Fashion | Premium Brand | £38,000 - £48,000
The BrandThis is a well-established, design-led womenswear brand with over a decade of consistent growth and success. Operating across multiple UK retail locations, alongside a strong e-commerce platform and an impressive portfolio of wholesale partners, the business has built a reputation as a trusted and credible name within the premium high street space.
Positioned at a mid-to-premium price point, the focus is simple: exceptional quality, considered design, and product that delivers real value to the customer. Every collection is built with intention-balancing elevated aesthetics with commercial accessibility.
It's a brand that moves with pace. With frequent drops, short lead times, and a reactive trading model, the product function is dynamic and high-volume. Collections are signed off every 6-8 weeks, with weekly trading and OTB decisions requiring a team that can think both strategically and reactively.
The Opportunity:
This is a key hire within the product team. As Senior Garment Technologist, you will take ownership of fit, quality, and technical execution across all collections, ensuring every product meets the brand's high standards from concept through to final production.
Key Responsibilities:
Own garment technology across the full product lifecycle, from initial development through to bulk production
Lead all fit sessions, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards
Create and manage detailed specifications, tech packs, and technical workbooks
Oversee sampling, fabric testing, and quality control processes
Work closely with suppliers to resolve technical challenges and drive improvements
Partner with Design to ensure creative vision is executed without compromising fit or quality
Support Production and Development teams to ensure timelines and critical paths are met
Continuously review and improve processes to increase efficiency and output
Mentor and develop a Junior Garment Technologist
About You:
4+ years' experience within garment technology, ideally in womenswear
Strong technical expertise across fit, grading, construction, and fabric
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with frequent drops
Experience working across both planned ranges and reactive trading models
Confident managing supplier relationships and influencing technical outcomes
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Collaborative, with the ability to work closely with design and production teams
Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
