Merchandiser | Premium Menswear Lifestyle Brand | £35,000 - £40,000
Location: Manchester HQThis is a premium menswear lifestyle brand, rooted in the heart of Manchester, known for its refined aesthetic, elevated essentials, and modern approach to contemporary dressing.
Entering an exciting phase of growth, the business is scaling with intent, combining entrepreneurial energy with a clear, long-term vision.
This is a rare opportunity to join as one of the brand's first dedicated merchandising hires, another pivotal role with real ownership, influence, and the chance to shape the merchandising function from the ground up with a Senior.
About You:
You're a Junior Merchandiser or early-stage Merchandiser ready to step into a broader, more autonomous role within a premium environment.
You bring both commercial instinct and analytical rigour, with a genuine appreciation for product, quality, and the nuances of the menswear market.
- Experience within a fashion merchandising role (retail or e-commerce)
- Strong analytical capability, with advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Commercially astute, with a sharp eye for product performance and opportunity
- Passionate about menswear, lifestyle brands, and evolving consumer behaviour
- Comfortable operating both strategically and in the detail
- Proactive and self-driven, with a natural sense of ownership
- Highly organised, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving business
- A confident communicator, able to influence cross-functional stakeholders
The Role:
We're looking for a commercially driven Merchandiser who can balance precision with perspective, someone who thrives in the detail but understands the bigger picture.
This role suits someone comfortable operating with pace and ambiguity, who is motivated by responsibility and excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage seasonal merchandising strategies aligned with brand vision and commercial targets
- Own OTB, WSSI, budgeting, intake planning, and margin optimisation
- Analyse trading performance to inform agile, commercially sound decisions
- Establish and evolve merchandising frameworks, reporting, and trade tools
- Collaborate closely with Design and Buying to shape cohesive, commercially viable ranges
- Optimise product mix, size architecture, and depth of buy
- Protect and maximise best sellers while introducing considered newness
- Oversee allocation and replenishment to drive availability and sell-through
- Forecast demand and manage stock flow to support sustainable, controlled growth
- Identify category opportunities and risks, making clear recommendations for action
- Support pricing strategy, promotional planning, and end-of-season activity
- Deliver clear, concise weekly and seasonal performance insights to senior leadership
Why This Role Stands Out:
- One of their first merchandising hires
- High visibility across the business, working closely with senior leadership
- A genuine platform for long-term progression within a growing premium brand
- The chance to influence both product strategy and commercial performance
- A unique opportunity to step into a role with real impact, early in your career
If you're commercially sharp, product-driven, and ready to take ownership within a premium menswear environment, this is a rare opportunity to make your mark in a brand on the rise.
