Mechanical Maintenance Technician | Warrington | Up to £35k
A well-established industrial engineering and manufacturing business based in Warrington is looking to recruit a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support its Maintenance Manager in a newly created role.
This position has been created as part of the company's long-term succession planning. The successful candidate will work closely with the Maintenance Manager, learning the equipment and processes with the opportunity to develop into a senior maintenance role over time.
This role would suit someone with strong mechanical foundations who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to develop their career within a specialist industrial environment.
Mechanical Maintenance Responsibilities:
Support the Maintenance Manager with the maintenance and repair of specialised industrial equipment
Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault finding and general workshop repairs
Undertake basic fabrication work including welding, cutting and grinding
Assist with maintenance of plant machinery and workshop equipment
Support goods-inwards operations including unloading deliveries using a forklift truck
Assist with stock control and organisation of maintenance parts
Ensure safe working practices and maintain good workshop standards
Mechanical Maintenance Requirements:
Experience maintaining industrial machinery or plant equipment
Mechanical engineering or mechanical maintenance background
Basic welding, cutting and grinding skills
General workshop repair capability
Basic understanding of electrical systems and safe working practices
Valid Forklift Truck licence
