Are you a hands-on operations leader who thrives in fast-paced, seasonal retail environments? We're partnering with a growingretailer to appoint an experienced General Manager to lead their high-volume DC operation.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the seamless, safe and cost-effective movement of products, to both retail stores and e-commerce customers.

The Role

As General Manager, you will take full ownership of day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and service excellence across all warehouse activities.

You will be responsible for:

• Overseeing all DC operations: goods-in, storage, stock control, picking, dispatch and returns

• Managing seasonal peaks

• Leading stock accuracy across a diverse and complex SKU profile

• Delivering B2B store replenishment and B2C e-commerce fulfilment in line with SLAs

• Driving continuous improvement across warehouse layout, racking and operational flow

• Managing third-party carriers to ensure timely, damage-free delivery

• Upholding robust HSE standards

• Analysing KPIs and operational data to drive performance and cost efficiencies

• Collaborating closely with buying, merchandising and retail teams to optimise forecasting and space planning

• Supporting automation, digital transformation and sustainability initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in warehouse or distribution management within retail or 3PL

• Proven leadership of medium-to-large teams in high-volume environments

• Strong WMS and inventory management expertise

• Deep understanding of health & safety, compliance and stock accuracy

• Budget ownership and cost control experience

• Experience managing seasonal volatility and changing customer demands
