We're partnering with a growing retail brand to appoint a Head of People who will lead, shape and elevate the People strategy across the UK and Europe. This is a high-impact, visible leadership role where you'll set the direction for people, culture and capability, while still staying close enough to the business to understand what really matters on the ground. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting growth, ensuring the People function is commercially aligned, forward-thinking and scalable.What you'll be doing
- Lead the People strategy across the UK and Europe, ensuring it supports business growth, culture and performance.
- Own and develop frameworks across performance, capability, leadership development and wellbeing.
- Partner with senior leaders to align people priorities with commercial objectives and future growth plans.
- Provide strategic HR leadership across retail operations, including ER oversight, workforce planning and talent development.
- Work closely with local partners in Germany to ensure compliant, culturally relevant people practices.
- Embed meaningful performance and feedback frameworks that drive accountability and development.
- Shape and evolve wellbeing, engagement and inclusion initiatives across HQ and retail.
- Oversee cross-border HR governance, policies and compliance, working with external advisors where needed.
About you
- A senior HR leader with experience in multi-site retail or a similar fast-paced, people-driven environment.
- Proven experience designing and embedding People strategies within growing, international businesses.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with European exposure (Germany is a real advantage).
- Commercially astute, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
- A confident influencer who can build credibility quickly with senior leaders.
- Passionate about developing people, strengthening culture and building high-performing, engaged teams.
