We're on the hunt for a strong-willed, pacey, and dynamic Product Developer & Account Manager to take ownership of a full product category while championing the wholesale business. You'll be the bridge between our brands and retail partners, ensuring that every product offering not only performs commercially but also tells the brand's story.
This is an exciting, high-responsibility role for an experienced professional who thrives on driving innovation, maximising commercial opportunities, building strong supplier and client relationships, and delivering results against tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead development for a defined product category, from concept through to final delivery.
Oversee the full product lifecycle, including design briefing, sample approvals, costing, production handover, and post-launch evaluation.
Drive product innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring ranges are relevant, competitive, and commercially strong.
Negotiate costings, lead times, and deliverables with suppliers to optimise margin, speed, and quality.
Conduct competitor analysis, range reviews, and market research to identify trends and new opportunities.
Maintain accurate product data and cost information across internal systems and customer portals.
Account Management & Client Relations:
Be the strategic bridge between the brand and retail partners, championing their wholesale business.
Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with key accounts, retail buyers, and distributors.
Collaborate across Product, Planning, Marketing, and Merchandising to ensure accounts receive ranges that feel tailored, balanced, and commercially spot-on.
Identify opportunities to upsell, maximise category performance, and drive commercial success.
Represent the brand at trade shows, events, and promotions, ensuring product and brand storytelling is consistent and impactful.
Understand each account's business, tailoring product offerings to maximise sales and brand alignment.
Experience & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Product Developer or Senior Product Manager, ideally within homewares, lifestyle, or consumer goods.
Strong account management experience within wholesale or retail, preferably working with major UK retailers.
Demonstrated ability to own a category, drive product innovation, and manage the full product lifecycle.
Excellent commercial acumen, with experience in pricing, cost negotiation, margin optimisation, and lead-time management.
Strong relationship-building skills, able to influence and collaborate at all levels internally and externally.
Proactive, highly organised, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data to inform product and account strategies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Competency in Microsoft Office and experience with product/cost management systems or PLM platforms.
Passion for creativity, product excellence, and delivering results for both brand and retail partners.
