The Role:
As an Assistant Merchandiser, you'll be at the heart of their stock and planning operations ensuring the right product is in the right place, at the right time, and at the right price. You'll support the Merchandising team to produce strategic, profitable seasonal range plans while helping to manage stock across our stores. This role is analytical, hands-on, and crucial for driving the commercial success of the business.What You'll Do:
Analyse categories and product performance to make recommendations that maximise profitability.
Help set up seasonal Range Plans and line cards for NOOS (New Out of Stock) and flow lines, supporting the Merchandiser's critical path.
Create and maintain area store plans, including store grading, stock allocations, and seasonal movement.
Monitor stock levels weekly, taking proactive action to optimise sales and minimise overstock.
Manage the replenishment system, ensuring MDQs are set up and updated throughout the season.
Analyse sales data, sell-through, and range performance to make informed adjustments to plans and blanket orders.
Prepare reports to support trade, forecasting, and strategic stock planning.
Distribute weekly and monthly sales updates, and maintain a comprehensive data library to aid decision-making.
Work closely with logistics and the merchandising team to address supply chain issues and ensure stock availability.
Build strong relationships with the field operations team to ensure your plans are executed efficiently and stock levels remain within agreed parameters.
Deputise for the Merchandiser as required and support the wider team with additional projects or tasks.
