The Role
You will lead key aspects of financial planning, performance management, and strategic decision support. The role will act as a commercial partner to functional leaders, delivering insights that shape business decisions, drive efficiency, and unlock growth opportunities.
You will oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles while managing financial governance, process optimisation, and commercial agreements that underpin critical business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to convert financial data into actionable commercial insights.
- Challenge business leaders to identify cost efficiencies and generate new commercial opportunities.
- Design and embed KPI frameworks to assess profitability, performance, and value creation.
- Conduct detailed financial and scenario analyses to support investment decisions.
- Manage and optimise business service agreements, including contract governance and performance reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, digital tools, and process enhancement.
- Uphold financial discipline and governance standards across all business activities.
About You
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong commercial finance experience.
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Experience negotiating or managing complex service or commercial agreements.
- Adaptable, results-driven, and comfortable working in agile, transformational environments.
