Your Responsibilities as Design Engineer:Design and develop soft goods across products, including roof tents, awnings, storage, and accessories.
Integrate soft goods with structural components, ensuring seamless textile and framework assembly.
Create innovative, functional solutions aligned with the brand's design language and purpose.
Gather insights from user feedback and field testing to inform design decisions.
Translate concepts into technical drawings, patterns, and specifications for prototyping.
Lead CMF (colour, material, finish) strategy to maintain a consistent, elevated product identity.
Select materials and construction methods that meet performance, cost, sustainability, and aesthetic goals.
Collaborate with suppliers, factories, and internal teams to validate and implement materials.
Build and test functional prototypes, from rough mock-ups to refined samples.
Work with manufacturers to solve sampling, construction, and production challenges.
Maintain technical documentation, including tech packs and BOMs, throughout the design process.
Support field testing and iterate designs based on real-world performance, while aligning with brand storytelling.
