About the Workshop Manager role:
You'll take ownership of the workshop's day-to-day performance - overseeing repairs, leading a small team, and making sure every customer leaves happy. You'll balance your time between high-quality technical work and managing workshop operations, coaching team members, and driving service standards.This is a people-focused, hands-on retail manager role where you'll work closely with both customers and colleagues. You'll also support our sustainability mission by helping extend the life of bikes and products through repairs, recycling, and reuse.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating a team of mechanics and technicians
- Delivering outstanding customer service in a busy retail setting
- Carrying out and overseeing complex repairs and diagnostics
- Managing workshop systems, stock levels, and performance targets
- Coaching team members and supporting their development
- Promoting sustainability through repair and reuse
- Acting as a key part of the store's retail leadership team
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a senior mechanic or retail manager role
- Cytech Level 2 (or equivalent practical experience) is a bonus
- Confident diagnosing faults and leading repair quality
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Highly organised, with a good understanding of workshop systems and stock
- A people-person who thrives in a dynamic retail environment
