Assistant Warehouse Manager

Assistant Warehouse Manager | Tallaght, Dublin | up to €45,000

Hours: 40 Hours per week (Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm)

The Role

Zachary Daniels are once again supporting a successful growing retail business. Following recent expansion and opening a new distribution centre, our client is looking to strengthen the team with the appointment of an Assistant Warehouse Manager based in Tallaght, who will report to the Distribution Manager.

Main Accountabilities:

• Lead, motivate and inspire the Distribution team, delegate and ensure the team have a clear understanding of direction.
• Support the warehouse manager and act as an integral part of the warehouse management team
• Deputise for the warehouse manager in their absence
• Challenge the Distribution team on customer complaints and present learnings from their issues
• provide effective coaching and enforce consistent delivery of REACH principles
• Enforce company rules and regulations
• Enforce health standards, safety and security procedures
• Deliver engaging and motivating team briefs supported by a strong rapport with the distribution team and ensure we are continually improving

Maintain warehouse and vehicle standards through:

• Hold the distribution team to account on internal and external vehicle standards,
• Coach warehouse supervisors and on achieving consistently high standards in their areas
• Maintain standards throughout the entire Tallaght complex including, maintaining plants, locks, reporting issues, de-icing etc
• Coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of products
• Responsible for all aspects of stock movement
• Ensure Distribution team wrap and label products appropriately
• Constantly review and improve standards of health and safety and security in the work environment

Essential Criteria:

• Previous warehouse experience, in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Good IT skills and knowledge of warehouse systems.
• FLT licence.
