We at Zachary Daniels are currently seeking for an experienced Financial Accountant in the Co. Galway, Athlone region. Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and non-financial data to identify efficiencies, cost reductions, and revenue opportunities.
- Participate in period-end close activities and management accounts preparation, including P&L and Balance Sheet for multiple statutory entities.
- Provide key cost reconciliation and reporting in the P&L and business streams, working closely with budget holders.
Strategic Decision-Making & Compliance
- Interpret complex financial data to support problem-solving and informed decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts for multiple group entities, including consolidation accounts.
- Play a critical role in the year-end external audit process.
- Support the annual budgeting and cash flow forecasting process.
Process Improvement & Team Leadership* Lead automation and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Finance / Finance Director.* Mentor and support junior staff across various sub-departments, including Accounts Payable and Reporting.* Contribute to key financial projects as directed by senior leadership.What We're Looking For
* Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach.* Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes.* Ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.* Passion for process improvement and efficiency.Why Join?
