Are you an experienced Buyer or Sourcing Consultant with a passion for driving success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Our client, a leading wholesaler with a turnover in the hundreds of millions and tens of thousands of products in their portfolio, is seeking a skilled professional to join their team.Role Overview:
As an Own Brand Buyer/Sourcing Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the client's own-brand portfolio. Working closely with the buying and sales teams, your expertise will help identify opportunities, optimize sourcing strategies, and deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations while maximizing profitability.Key Details:
- Pay Rate: £500 per day (contract)
- Location: South East, UK - 1 day per week in the office
- Industry: Wholesale/FMCG
- Duration: Contract basis (length to be confirmed)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for own-brand product lines across a diverse portfolio.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring product quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate terms, pricing, and supply agreements.
- Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends and customer demands.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product launches and lifecycle management.
- Maintain and enhance supplier relationships to ensure consistent delivery and innovation.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in buying or sourcing roles, ideally within wholesale, retail, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong understanding of own-brand product and sourcing.
- Exceptional negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Analytical mindset with a track record of identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Flexibility to work on-site in the South East.
