This international fashion brand are keen to meet ambitious merchandisers who are wanting a progressive & exciting career within retail.
They own over 4000 stores and are one very stable business to be a part of with new store openings happening monthly.
As the Assistant Merchandiser you will have the ownership of your own categories and enjoy working collaboratively with your merchandiser and Buying teams.
You'll have been in a head office role, with a fashion or lifestyle brand ideally, and will have a clear understanding of trading, managing OTB, WSSI and the ability to get into the data. All whilst being actively involved with choosing & building commercial ranges for the brand.
The Role:- Experience with reviewing and analysing sales curves
- Be able to identify buying patterns for your department and act on them in & ahead of a new season
- Review performance at sizing and colour level with your MAA
- Proven track record of pulling trade reports around best sellers, product sales performance and provide actions you suggest should be taken to maximise profits and sales
- Present Monday Trade meetings with top line key information for your area
- Ability to write and communicate clear and concise trade notes
- Make recommendations around re-forecasting, markdowns and promotional activity
- Awareness of the WSSI is essential as you will be responsible for a sub-group
- Awareness of OTB levels and how to work with the Buying team to utilise this effectively
- Update seasonal re-coding and intake levels with the support of your MAA
- Lead critical path progress updates with your Merchandiser and Buying counterparts
- Ensure launch dates remain on time
- Propose delivery actions where required, i.e short shipments, cancellations, re-phasing and the airing of goods
- Conduct store and comp shops with your buying team on a regular basis
- Work with buying team and head office POS / VM teams to push product effectively across stores and online
