Description

About the Role:

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is excited to be working with a leading national retailer to find an experienced Acquisitions Surveyor to join their growing property team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the retailer's nationwide expansion strategy, with the flexibility of a hybrid working model that allows you to work remotely, with occasional travel to sites as needed.

As an Acquisitions Surveyor, you will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and acquiring new retail and hospitality locations across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to influence the growth of the business and make a significant impact on its property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Acquire Properties: Source and assess new retail and hospitality sites that align with the company's growth objectives, focusing on prime locations across the UK.
  • Negotiate Lease Terms: Lead negotiations with landlords, agents, and property owners to secure competitive lease agreements and favourable terms for the retailer.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging retail and hospitality trends, and uncover new opportunities for expansion.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior stakeholders, property consultants, legal teams, and internal departments (including operations and finance) to ensure seamless deal processes and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Portfolio Management: Support the management of the retailer's property portfolio, ensuring the effective operation of existing sites and identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Deal Oversight: Manage the acquisition process from site identification to deal completion, coordinating with solicitors, surveyors, and external advisors to ensure successful outcomes.

About You:

  • Experience: Proven experience in acquisitions or property development, ideally within the retail or hospitality sectors.
  • Qualifications: MRICS or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of retail and hospitality property markets, lease negotiations, and financial analysis.
  • Negotiation Skills: Exceptional ability to negotiate lease terms and build relationships with landlords and stakeholders.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to manage a portfolio of acquisitions independently and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external partners.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits:

  • Hybrid Working: Flexible working model, allowing you to work remotely with occasional travel to sites and the office.
  • Competitive Salary: Attractive salary and benefits package, with performance-related bonuses.
  • Career Growth: Opportunities for career development within a rapidly expanding and innovative national retailer.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Including pension scheme, healthcare, and other perks.

Why Join?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking national retailer that is committed to growth and innovation. If you're passionate about retail and hospitality property and are looking for a role that offers flexibility and career development, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
