Job Summary:
The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to employees within the organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network and connectivity problems, and assisting with the setup and maintenance of computer systems. The IT Support Technician collaborates closely with other members of the IT team to ensure that the organization's technology infrastructure operates efficiently and effectively.Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to employee requests for technical assistance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Resolve network and connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and email.
- Assist with the setup and installation of new computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Provide technical guidance and support to end-users on the use of computer systems and software.
- Collaborate with IT team members to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation on technical processes and procedures.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A-level (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other common software applications.
- Proven experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience using Brightpearl is ideal but not essential.
