As the Assistant Buyer you'll need to love each step that is involved when building a successful & profitable clothing range.

You will be actively contributing to:

Monday trade meetings, new product creation with buyers & designers, costings, sample management, approvals, fit sessions & so much more.

AS THE ASSISTANT BUYER:

You will closely support your Buyer on the daily running & trading of your department across multiple tasks, such as:

• Reviewing daily sales and weekly sales
• Present Monday trade notes & key actions to the wider Buying, Merchandising and Design team
• Action trade reactions, such as repeats or cancellations
• Action move on's with the suppliers for any best sellers
• Work into any OTB with your buyer and designers by creating quick styles or collections for your customer
• Confidently build relationships with your supply base
• Gather all initial costs and fairly negotiate prices
• Support your department with sample briefs and the delivery of new samples into the business with trackers and regular communication with the suppliers
• Actively researching the market via competitor analysis
• Pull comp shops together, looking at new styles and more importantly price
• Monitor the competition for any new promotions, collaborations or launches
• Tightly manage the critical path
• Ensure all delays are communicated to the wider team
• Ensure all fit comments and any approvals are done in a timely manner
• Support your Buyer with all sign off and Monday Trade reports, along with any other administrative tasks
• Attend all fit sessions
• Assist with production samples for imagery shots with the studio
• Support the Buyer with any supplier meetings where required
