The expansion has been rapid, which has only continued in recent yearsAbout the roleThe role requires a Management Accountant with strong management accounts experience who is willing to roll their sleeves up and deal with the basics but capable of doing much more.This will be a pivotal role within the Finance Team and wider business. The Management Accountant will be responsible for producing timely, accurate and relevant management accounts to set timescales. They are responsible for ensuring that all areas within the finance team are reconciled and closed off before they produce the accounts and are accountable for the numbers they share with the wider business.Key responsibilities
- Own and produce end to end management accounts and associated reporting pack
- Detailed analysis of variances to budget and forecasts
- Stock and Stock adjustment reconciliations
- Produce and oversee production of the monthly accruals and prepayments
- Ownership of the fixed assets register and associated depreciation journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with the year end audit preparation
- Reconciliation of the intercompany accounts
- Rolling P&L forecasting including integrated working capital model
- Assisting with the annual Budget cycle and quarterly reforecast
- Rolling Cashflow forecasting
- Business partering
- Support FC, development of junior staff and support transactional team when required.
Person profile- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or finalist
- Online retail experience advantageous
- Strong IT skills with BI/MI tools (ideally AWS quicksight) and advanced Excel modelling ability
- Strong understanding of FP&A & working capital & 13 week rolling cash flow models
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Self-starter who is flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Has excellent communication skills and the confidence to question peers.
- Able to work on own initiative
- Experience working in a fast paced SME environment
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- A positive attitude to work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- A team player who can support others in the team
