AS THE SPORTS DESIGNER YOU WILL NEED TO BE:

• Be confident
• Approachable
• Passionate
• Strong willed
• Experienced with sourcing fabrics & trims
• Experience with working with Product Developers desired but not essential
• Experienced with graphic design for print and general imagery
• Adobe Suite

SPORTS DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take complete ownership of your department
• Research new trends and forecast new colours and styles for the business
• Focus on new fabrics and trims will be essential
• Ability to create moodboards and concept briefs for the department during the season for trading
• Ability to understand commercial information to leverage your designs into best sellers
• Be prepared for wearer trials to ensure that all garments are fit for purpose
• Work closely with you garment tech to ensure quality, fit and practicality is always at the forefront
• Proactively research and follow competitors
• Constantly researching the sports industry to stay one step ahead
