A fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Payroll Manager with EMEA background. Our client is passionate about their team, supporting with long term opportunity, development feeling valued and requires an individual with experience of managing and enjoy looking into improving processes with extensive knowledge across all aspects of Payroll.
As the Payroll Manager you will report directly to the Senior payroll manager and have responsibility of 3 direct reports. This opportunity will offer you lots of exposure and responsibility to be involved with being responsible of ensuring that payroll is processed timely and with precision, along with being responsible for auditing and approving all EMEA payrolls.
What are you responsible for?- You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll, legislation, government initiatives etc for the countries payroll.
- Ensure your EMEA payroll specialists take care of all aspects of their own countries end-to-end payroll activities and will review on a monthly basis the payroll cycles for the whole of EMEA to identify what efficiencies/improvements to accuracy are needed.
- Ensure all processes and documents are kept up to date and are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Review company policies, procedures, and best practice to ensure we are doing things the best way possible for all parties involved.
- Ensure a balance in payroll accounts by auditing information, recognising, and correcting irregularities and creating journal entries
- Keeping the accounts up to date monthly and fixing any errors before the next month end
- Working with payroll partners to ensure output files are escalating when not satisfactory to ensure the issues are resolved timely
- Control audit requests, managing the data flow between payroll, GL and the internal and external auditors.
- Attain payroll monetary standards by offering yearly budget information, identifying variances, monitoring expenditures, and executing modifying actions
- Keep records up to date by reviewing and entering modifications, including exemptions, deductions, status and pay, holiday earned, paid time not worked and insurance modifications
- Ensure payrolls for all EMEA markets are processed and paid timely and accurately, including tax and other compliance matters are considered
- Plan and assign workloads for the payroll personnel in EMEA
- Ensure accurate processing and annual submission of Benefit in Kind through payroll for all EMEA entities
- Act as a backup for team members who are on holiday or high magnitude work operations
- Build relationships with the ADP account managers and ensure best in class practices in each country
- Working closely and to understand the ADP processes and time taken to turn payroll around.
Being a great Manager* Initiate team meetings and phone calls on a weekly basis and as often as necessary

* Assist the senior payroll manager to initiate yearly team goals
* Managing team leave and distribute work load in absences- Possess a degree in the field of business management and associated courses with Certified Payroll Professional (CIPP)
- At least five years of functional experience in a payroll multinational function, ideally EMEA region
- Analytical with attention to detail
- Highly intelligent and self-directing
- Large Payroll and HR software package experience (ADP and Workday preferred)
- Maturity to handle highly confidential personal information
- High degree of integrity with the ability to handle matters in the appropriate manner
- A great team player who will bring a real positive outlook to the payroll team.
- Will lead by example and set great example for the payroll specialists.
- A good communicator who will reply to stakeholders in a timely fashion and they will be confident to communicate with all areas and levels of the team.
- A dynamic self-starter with a real can-do attitude someone that doesn't need constant managerial support
- Resilient under pressure and can cope with multiple requests/demands at the same time.
- Enjoys a fast pace working environment. Ensuring they are extremely organised and work fast without compromising on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively forward information to clients, a small group or on individual basis, as well as to other members of staff of the company
- Understands the complexities of companies that must be SOX compliant
- Has Knowledge of Oracle, Kronos, and ADP iHCM
