Flow Room Shift Manager | Leading UK Retailer | East Midlands | Salary up to £40,000 + shift allowance | 4 on 4 off days and nights (06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00)
Zachary Daniels are excited to be partnering with an amazing UK retailer who have exciting growth plans. We are seeking 2 driven and passionate Flow Room Shift Managers, to ensure the efficient flow of automation and have part accountability for the flow room team on a state-of-the-art fulfilment centre.
In this brand new role you will bring a flexible approach with a desire to exceed targets through pro-active management and establishing strong working relationships between the operations and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced automation expert and must have proven experience in managing a control room / flow room.
The role as Control Room Operations Manager:
- Responsible for Systems availability and efficiency - achievement of KPIs (e.g. minimise downtime)
- Line management and leadership of the flow room shift team
- Maintaining a fast paced team and adhere to deadlines set for the site
- Delivering standard reports to SLT, with performance commentary linked with the ops team commentary
- Liaising with the operation to deliver the tactical labour plan - prioritise workloads, and support Shift Ops / Section Managers to manage staffing levels during shifts
- Incident management of IT / Automation, including transparency of status, data-based reporting and pro-active follow up, validation of deadlines being met and monitoring for large scale issues / risks
- Monitoring and maintaining a safe working environment
- Maintaining IT backlog and drive consensus on priorities including new projects/change
The ideal candidate will have:
- Detailed understanding of the functionality and operation of automated flow systems
- Proven experience in motivating, leading and developing high performing teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build trust within a team
- Customer focused and aware of requirements for quality, efficiency and accuracy
- Management of automation control systems including SCADA highly desirable
- Resilience, tenacity, flexible approach and self-starter /pro-active manager
- Excellent written, verbal and presentational communication skills
- Results and output oriented
- Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to influence and challenge in a positive style
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement tools
Control Room Operations Manager package:
- The salary offered is up to £40,000 (doe) + shift allowance
