Description

Zachary Daniels are working exclusively with an apparel powerhouse based in the North West that are looking to grow their Merchandising department with the addition of a Merchandising Analyst. This is a demanding role due to our client being a leader in their field with over 800 stores.

The purpose of this role is to support the Trading Manager in the production of data and insight in order to maximise performance within the fashion division and optimise KPIs relating to sales, markdown, stock, intake and profit plans

 

Data & Systems

  • Manage the process with regards to data feeds and reporting on fascia performance from external systems
  • Responsible for data integrity, ensuring that all reporting is accurate and available as required.
  • Support integration of external systems onto internal/new platforms, understanding the data requirements, mapping tables and manual intervention required to support the existing businesses.

 

Reporting

  • Prepare weekly overview of performance, identifying fashion priorities and proposed activity to address any concerns or opportunities
  • Use SQL/data warehouse/BI tools to deliver reporting requirement for the fashion merchandising team

 

Planning

  • Work with the Trading Team to implement the Merchandising Strategy, covering individual areas of responsibility, referencing learning from the previous year.
  • Be aware of all plans as they impact on channel and location planning.
  • Optimise ranging based on detailed density analysis to inform seasonal buys
  • Manage allocation gradings to ensure appropriate levels are received across business channels

 

Trading

  • Lead weekly meetings to review performance and actions with wider team
  • Support and inform the replenishment process to optimise the sell through of stock
  • Manage space planning to ensure locations are adequately stocked
  • Manage clearance stock to ensure optimised sell through and that strategic priorities are met
  • Manage stock builds for peak sales periods to ensure optimised placement of stock
  • Review performance of key locations to highlight opportunities to drive sales

 

Teamwork

  • Be a key point of contact between the merchandising team and the wider business including stores, DC, multi-channel, group functions
  • Co-ordinates and delivers best practice within the Trading team and wider Merchandising team.
